The fuser melts to toner onto the paper and enables the toner to adhere to the paper through heat and pressure as the paper passes through the printer. The fuser is a common cause of laser printer failure.
Common symptons to look for for the need to replace your fuser are the following:
- marks at the same spot on your paper that shouldn't be there
- one side of the print faded or a portion of the print consistently faded
